One-Parameter Groups in a Group

A one-parameter group in a group G is a function from the real line to G that sends 0 to the identity and sums to products.

Statement

In the setting of Routine Facts, Continued: Typed Arithmetic, Maps and Predicativity, let (G,⋅)(G,\cdot) be a group with identity ee, unique by Uniqueness of the Identity Element and of Inverses in a Group (i), products written by juxtaposition as in Semigroups (i).

One-parameter groups. A one-parameter group in GG is a function TT from R\mathbb{R} to GG such that T(0)=eT(0)=e and

T(s+t)=T(s) T(t)for all s,t∈R.T(s+t)=T(s)\,T(t)\qquad\text{for all } s,t\in\mathbb{R}.
