Axioms of Class Existence (Gödel's Axioms B1-B7)

Seven class-existence axioms: the membership relation, intersections, complements and domains of classes, products with the universe, and two permutations of the entries of triples define classes.

Statement

Let XX and YY be classes. In what follows u,v,wu,v,w range over sets, (u,v)(u,v) is the ordered pair and ⟨u,v,w⟩=((u,v),w)\langle u,v,w\rangle=((u,v),w) the tuple.

(B1) There is a class EE such that, for all sets uu and vv, (u,v)∈E(u,v)\in E if and only if u∈vu\in v.

(B2) There is a class ZZ such that, for every set uu, u∈Zu\in Z if and only if u∈Xu\in X and u∈Yu\in Y.

(B3) There is a class ZZ such that, for every set uu, u∈Zu\in Z if and only if u∉Xu\notin X.

(B4) There is a class ZZ such that, for every set uu, u∈Zu\in Z if and only if there is a set vv with (u,v)∈X(u,v)\in X.

(B5) There is a class ZZ such that, for all sets uu and vv, (u,v)∈Z(u,v)\in Z if and only if u∈Xu\in X.

(B6) There is a class ZZ such that, for all sets uu, vv and ww, ⟨u,v,w⟩∈Z\langle u,v,w\rangle\in Z if and only if ⟨v,w,u⟩∈X\langle v,w,u\rangle\in X.

(B7) There is a class ZZ such that, for all sets uu, vv and ww, ⟨u,v,w⟩∈Z\langle u,v,w\rangle\in Z if and only if ⟨u,w,v⟩∈X\langle u,w,v\rangle\in X.
