Continuity on a Closed Interval

Let $a,b\in\mathbb{R}$ with $a<b$, and let $f:[a,b]\to\mathbb{R}$. The function $f$ is continuous on $[a,b]$ if it is continuous at every point $x\in[a,b]$ in the sense of Continuity at a Point.
