Injectivity of a Map between Set Variables Is Predicative

For pairwise distinct positions i, j, k, the condition that the set variable xix_i is an injective map from xjx_j to xkx_k is expressed by a predicative formula.

Statement

In the setting of Routine Facts Used Without Citation: Arithmetic, Maps, Predicativity and Indices, let nn be a metatheoretic number, let x0,…,xnβˆ’1x_{0},\dots,x_{n-1} be distinct set variables, and let i,j,k<ni,j,k<n be pairwise distinct.

The condition "xix_{i} is an injective map xi:xjβ†’xkx_{i}:x_{j}\to x_{k}" on x0,…,xnβˆ’1x_{0},\dots,x_{n-1} is expressed by a predicative formula, with x0,…,xnβˆ’1x_{0},\dots,x_{n-1} in place of the variables x1,…,xNx_{1},\dots,x_{N} of Conditions Expressed by a Predicative Formula, and Guards (i) and no displayed variables.
