Radon Measure on a Metric Space

A Borel measure on a metric space is a Radon measure if it is finite on compact sets, outer regular by open sets and inner regular on open sets by compact sets.

Statement

In the setting of Radon Measures on Locally Compact Metric Spaces: Standing Notation, let (X,d)(X,d) be a metric space.

Radon measure. A Borel measure μ\mu on XX is a Radon measure if μ(K)<∞\mu(K)<\infty for every compact K⊆XK\subseteq X, and

μ(B)=inf⁡{μ(V):V⊆X open, B⊆V}(B∈B(X)),\mu(B)=\inf\{\mu(V):V\subseteq X\text{ open},\ B\subseteq V\}\qquad(B\in\mathcal{B}(X)), μ(V)=sup⁡{μ(K):K⊆X compact, K⊆V}(V⊆X open),\mu(V)=\sup\{\mu(K):K\subseteq X\text{ compact},\ K\subseteq V\}\qquad(V\subseteq X\text{ open}),

the infima and suprema being taken in [0,∞][0,\infty].
