Holomorphic Functions and Their Derivatives

A function on an open subset of the complex plane is holomorphic on an open subset of its domain if it is complex differentiable at every point of it; its derivative there is the function of its complex derivatives.

Statement

In the setting of Complex Analysis: Standing Notation, let UU be an open subset of (C,dC)(\mathbb{C},d_{\mathbb{C}}), let f:U→Cf:U\to\mathbb{C} be a function, and let W⊆UW\subseteq U be open in (C,dC)(\mathbb{C},d_{\mathbb{C}}).

Holomorphic functions. ff is holomorphic on WW if it is complex differentiable at every point of WW.

The derivative. If ff is holomorphic on WW, its derivative on WW is the function f′:W→Cf':W\to\mathbb{C}, w↦f′(w)w\mapsto f'(w) (Values, Restriction and Equality of a Map, and the Map u↦t(u)u\mapsto t(u) as a Defined Set Symbol (v)), with f′(w)f'(w) the complex derivative of ff at ww of The Complex Derivative at a Point (ii).
