Multiplication on Omega: Products Lie in Omega, Multiplication Is a Binary Operation with Value the Product, and Membership in the Multiplication

The product of two elements of omega lies in omega, the multiplication is a binary operation on omega whose value at (m, n) is m·n, and ((m, n), z) belongs to it exactly when m and n lie in omega and z = m·n.

Statement

In the setting of Class Theory NBG: the Axioms, Standing Conventions and Basic Notation, let ω\omega be as in The Class Omega of Natural Numbers with Zero §omega, and let ⋅\cdot be the multiplication on ω\omega, with the product m⋅nm\cdot n of m,n∈ωm,n\in\omega as defined there.

For all m,n∈ωm,n\in\omega, m⋅n∈ωm\cdot n\in\omega.

The class ⋅\cdot is a binary operation on ω\omega, and for all m,n∈ωm,n\in\omega its value at (m,n)(m,n) equals the product m⋅nm\cdot n; so the notation of Binary Operations on a Set §notation for ⋅\cdot agrees with the product.

For all sets mm, nn and zz: ((m,n),z)∈⋅((m,n),z)\in{\cdot} if and only if m∈ωm\in\omega, n∈ωn\in\omega and z=m⋅nz=m\cdot n.
